Diamond Jubilee Email Campaign

Life of Riley

Over the Jubilee weekend, LOR's goal was to maintain its current levels of orders and customer engagement. As part of achieving this, I was assigned the task of creating an email campaign that celebrated the Jubilee neutrally and diplomatically.

I collaborated with the marketing team to design offers for the four residencies owned by the queen. Our discounts were based on the distance between the warehouse and the palaces, and the products we offered aligned with the activities the Royal family typically engaged in at each location. To make the email feel less like a sales pitch, I included a brief article about the beloved Corgis. Our efforts resulted in a 55% open rate and strong sales during the Jubilee weekend.

The Dog, The Myth, The Legend

The Pembroke Welsh Corgi has a unique connection to fairies, as they were once considered the fairies' noble steed. A common feature of most Corgis is a darker patch of fur located below their shoulders, which looks like a saddle mark and is endearingly referred to as the Fairies Saddle.

According to legend, the King and Queen of Fairies were riding their Corgis when they came across a family of hardworking humans who were working hard to feed themselves. During the encounter, the King fell off his Corgi and the Queen quickly dismounted to help him. Unaware of the situation, the Corgis continued toward the humans.

The King was worried about the possibility of the loyal steeds getting lost, but the Queen assured him that the Corgis would naturally find their way to those who needed them the most.

Two young girls on a Welsh farm discovered two Corgis, mistaking them for foxes.

They brought the dogs to their father, who explained that they were a gift from the fairies. Since then, Corgis have played a crucial role in Welsh farm life for centuries.
